Power over Alcohol

Coming home from work,
He is on to ready
Carrying fresh cut flowers.
The mind is convinced;
The stomach speaks a tone also
For love of a good woman;
Well ordered fantasies.

The spunky housewife
Young enough to be his daughter,
She is consistent,
Accustomed to her ways,
A blaring TV; no one watching it;
The wind enjoys a bit of humor.

Giving all of one's love to one person;
A romantic experience,
All it needs is distraction
To wipe out attachments.
Power over alcohol,
The mind has this capacity also
With an eye toward salvation.
